To enter the building, use the main entrance on the side of the building, located along the red brick sidewalk, facing Wells Fargo.

Place your hand over the keypad and wait for it to light up, then enter your access code on the keypad located at the entrance.

Repeat this process with the room code provided to you.

No, we do not have an elevator, but our main floor is handicap accessible and all accessible rooms are located on the ground floor. 

The Lofts is a dog friendly hotel in Downtown Salem, Virginia. We welcome up to 2 dogs for a $50 non-refundable pet fee per stay, with no weight limit. Traveling with more than 2 dogs? Additional dogs are welcome for $25 per pet, per stay. For the comfort of all guests, we ask that dogs are supervised while on the property and that owners clean up after their pets.

For our cyclists, there is a water hose in the gated off recycling area behind Blue Ridge Tavern. Please utilize the water pump to clean off any mud/dirt from your bike before storing your bike at the “in-building” bike rack located underneath the stairwell on the first floor.
